The environmental goal of the Municipality of Halki is to achieve recycling and proper waste management in the next few years through the four-colour bags that are already distributed to every home, as well as the gradual creation of “Green Points” in the Municipality of Halki. The door-to-door collection program of recyclable packaging concerns the FOUR categories of packaging, namely paper, glass, plastic and aluminum and will be carried out through the free supply to each household by the Municipality with recycling bags and the gradual supply of households with household bins to make the separation of materials more effective. A City crew will collect the recyclable material and waste from your home according to the schedule below. Please note that if the recycling bags do not contain only recyclable material, they will not be collected by the City crew. Everyone’s participation and effort will be the success of the new effort for a cleaner Halki that we all deserve.

We also inform you that the recycling of small electronic devices, light bulbs, and toner-ink printers has also started, and bins for their depositing have been placed in the courtyard of the Post Office-KEP and in the area of the Town Hall. Large electrical appliances are placed in the recycling area by prior arrangement at the telephone numbers 2246 3 60210 and2246 3 60212.
