One of the favorite aspects of Chalki is the lack of vehicles. The circulation of all vehicles, except for certain municipal ones, is prohibited on the roads. Transportation is done on foot. To reach the beaches, one can also travel by boat. There are boats that operate scheduled routes and are less expensive, as well as boats that can be chartered for the whole day, which cost more but are more economical for large groups of people. These boats depart from the central port of the island.
